Who are we?

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO championing the shift towards a circular economy, fundamentally reshaping how we produce, consume, and manage resources. Our vision is a world transformed, in which Circular Living is commonplace. Where the systems that provide our everyday goods contribute to the world's prosperity and sustainability instead of reducing it.

WRAP is driving Circular Living through four key areas: accelerating the circular economy, future-proofing food, preventing problem plastics and transforming textiles. We catalyse action from policy makers, businesses, NGOs and citizens to make it happen.

We have offices in the UK, USA and Australia, and live projects in over 30 countries.

Join us at WRAP and you'll drive important change to make Circular Living the norm.

The role

As the Impact Delivery Lead for Mexico, your focus will be to deliver impact for the Food Waste reduction programmes working closely with our localised partners in Mexico, colleagues in WRAP Global/Americas/APAC other critical stakeholders. Over time and where appropriate, this role will also represent WRAP in-country on other food system transformation topics, including climate action and water sustainability, and broader strategic areas of work, as well as potential growth of the work across Latin America.

You’ll build effective and influential relationships with our local Partners, bringing the WRAP expertise and networks to facilitate the successful implementation and widespread engagement of these ambitious Food Pact programmes. You will report to our regional Executive Director, but also build very close ties with our local Partner leadership team, with notable accountabilities including:

  • Champion and drive WRAP’s vision and ambition to reduce food waste through partnerships in the Food Waste Pact (Pacto por la Comida) in Mexico.
  • Work with colleagues and partners across WRAP‘s international network to implement an ambitious impact-focused program to tackle food waste in country.
  • Be part of a team of multi-national experts to develop and deliver holistic strategies for impact, including with business, government, citizen and policy action focus.
  • Build strong relationships with WRAP’s in-country partners and other key stakeholders, to implement a program of work designed to reduce food waste across the food value chain.
  • Build and nurture a network of relationships and collaborations to enable WRAP to design and attract funding for a continuing deepening and broadening of our ongoing programme of interventions in the country and surrounding region.
  • Act as the key link between WRAP’s in-country partners, the Food System Transformation team, and the UK-based project and programme management team.
  • Facilitate project management communications between WRAP Global and the in-country partner, including quarterly reviews and planning, prioritization and budgeting workshops setting the objectives for the next quarter.

Who are we looking for?

As our first ‘in country’ employee, we’re looking for individuals who not only bring strong subject knowledge, proven program/project delivery and relationship management skills, but also the ability to balance working as an effective collaborator with a very high level of autonomy. A good understanding of the circular economy/circular living in your respective region is important, notably food waste knowledge. As an effective self-starter, you’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently to deliver a strategic brief and to generate and develop opportunities. You will display practical experience of delivering evidence-based intervention and transformation projects. You will show strong relationship management and excellent communication skills, accompanied with the ability to bring together a wide range of stakeholders to drive change, secure commitment and aid collaborative working. You will also be able to show fluency in English as well as the relevant local language(s).

If you think you have what it takes but your experience looks different to what is advertised, please still apply. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of your age, race, gender, neurodiversity, ability, beliefs, sexuality, or personal preferences.

We want to help you be your best, so please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustments during the recruitment process.
