WRAP is a global environmental action NGO.

Established in the UK in 2000, we have colleagues and partners operating in over 30 countries around the world and have offices in the UK and Washington D.C.

Nearly half of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the stuff we produce and consume. We change how food, packaging and textiles are made, used and reused by bringing organisations together to solve shared challenges and implement change. By creating better systems, we are reducing waste, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions; protecting our planet and strengthening our economy.

We call this circular living.

We are looking for a Director of Policy, Research and Data to lead how WRAP uses research, evidence and data to strengthen our impact and

influence with businesses, governments, funders and partners.

You will build WRAP’s reputation as a trusted voice on circular living and sustainability, turning evidence and insight into policy influence, stronger programmes and better decisions.

We are looking for a strategic and curious leader with significant experience across policy, research or data, who can lead high-performing teams and turn complex information into clear, compelling insight.

Starfish is acting as an employment agency advisor to WRAP on this appointment. We are committed to being equal opportunities organisations - should you wish to discuss accessibility or any reasonable adjustments you may require, please don't hesitate to let them know, and we will be more than happy to help with any queries.

For further information about the role, including details about how to apply you can click here.

To ensure your application is considered, please apply directly through Starfish Search using the link above.

We will not process applications submitted via our website.

Applications should be received by Sunday 1 November 2026.

WRAP is a climate action NGO working around the globe to tackle the causes of the climate crisis and give the planet a sustainable future. Our vision is a thriving world in which climate change is no longer a problem.

At WRAP we believe that our natural resources shouldn’t be wasted. And that everything we use should be re-used and recycled. Our mission is to make the world a more sustainable place. We bring people together, we act on the facts, and we drive change.

Our core purpose is to help tackle climate change and protect our planet by changing the way things are produced, consumed and disposed of.

If you join us at WRAP – and we think you should – you'll help us by tackling sustainable product design, reducing waste, encouraging re-use or advocating recycling across the food and drink, plastic packaging, clothing and textiles and the collections and recycling sectors.

You can help us all to do better.

If you think you have what it takes but your experience looks different to what is advertised, please still apply. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of your age, race, gender, neurodiversity, ability, beliefs, sexuality, or personal preferences.

We want to help you be your best, so please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustments during the recruitment process.
