The vacancy
Job type: 1-year fixed-term contract with potential to extend
Location: The Netherlands, within reasonable travel distance to for example Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels.
Hybrid working: You will be able to work from home and come into the office to collaborate with your team(s) when required, but this role can operate on a largely remote basis. We have flexible core hours, and we don’t believe in a culture of presenteeism. We will discuss what is important to you during the recruitment process.
Salary & Benefits: €63,400 (The Netherlands) + competitive benefits package including 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays, 15.2% employer pension contribution, health/medical insurance, a wellbeing allowance and Headspace app subscription.

Therefore, any employment will be with Remote Netherlands and will include the accompanying local market benefits package and in-country employment policies. The role
We’re hiring a brand-new role in our Communications Team that will play a pivotal role in shaping WRAP’s expansion across Europe.
As our EU Communications Specialist, you’ll have a unique opportunity to define how WRAP builds its profile across the European Union. You’ll help shape how we engage existing corporate, government and funding partners, while growing our reach and influence with new audiences across the region - particularly in the areas of food and textiles sustainability.
Based in the Netherlands, you’ll bring extensive experience of working across multiple European countries. You’ll know, for example, what resonates with French policymakers, how to engage German or Italian businesses, or how approaches may need to differ between audiences in Spain and Ireland.
You’ll be an experienced communications professional who can confidently move between strategy and execution. You'll be skilled at building strong relationships with journalists, event organisers, partners and communications professionals across Europe to maximise WRAP's impact.
You’ll have a sharp eye for opportunities to position our experts as trusted voices on the issues that are important to WRAP. From securing speaking opportunities and shaping media stories, to writing compelling copy across multiple channels, you'll know how to tell the right story to the right audience. You'll constantly be looking for new and creative ways to strengthen engagement and build WRAP's reputation across Europe.
